James Edwards is an Australian director and cinematographer based in Brisbane, Queensland, working across commercial, documentary, narrative and music.

His work is driven by cinematic imagery, natural performance and a strong sense of movement, balancing carefully constructed visuals with the ability to respond instinctively to real-world moments.

Working across productions of all scales, James is equally comfortable operating within a larger camera department or leading compact crews in fast-moving documentary environments. His experience spans commercial campaigns, tourism, branded content, narrative filmmaking, music and long-form documentary production.

James works throughout Australia and internationally and is available as a Director, Director of Photography, Camera Operator and specialist camera operator.
